The IDF prosecutor on Sunday indicted IDF soldier Louis Muskota, who is suspected of stealing Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi's credit card and transferring its details to criminal sources.
The soldier was charged with removing a weapon, theft, and credit card fraud.
The military court extended his remand until September 2, when another hearing will be held.
Muskota's girlfriend, who is pregnant with his child, told Channel 10 that her boyfriend committed the crimes because he had been threatened and feared she would be attacked.
The prosecution said it will demand a jail sentence of at least 10 years.
