IDF: Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza to be opened fully on Wednesday

The Kerem Shalom crossing will be opened Wednesday morning for full activity and the fishing area in the Gaza Strip will be extended to nine nautical miles, following a decision by Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman in consultation with Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories and a Shin Bet representative.
On Tuesday, as in recent days, the Gaza border area remained quiet.
Security sources said that the easing of restrictions is a signal to Gaza residents that calm is Israel's first and foremost their own interest.
In addition, the security establishment approved 35 truckloads of construction materials and diesel fuel to enter Gaza.
