IDF re-closes Route 12 due to security concerns

The IDF re-closed Route 12 to traffic on Friday, two weeks after announcing its re-opening.
The decision was made based on the current security situation in the South, due to fears of attempts at terror attacks on the road.
The road was closed six months ago after a terrorist cell from Egypt infiltrated southern Israel and murdered eight Israelis on the highway, which straddles the Egyptian-Israeli border.
