IDF soldier dies from errant gunshot

An IDF soldier from the Golani Brigade who was seriously wounded after being accidentally shot in the back during a training exercise in the Golan Heights died of his wounds late Thursday night, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed. The IDF said that the soldier was shot accidentally by a fellow soldier. He was airlifted to Ziv Hospital in Safed. Witnesses from within the base said that the bullet was fired because several soldiers had been playing a game involving their guns. According to the preliminary IDF investigation, the soldier was hit by gunfire from an adjacent tent.
