Iraqi Kurdistan is prepared to deploy more forces to the Syrian border town of Kobani if asked, the region's President Masoud Barzani said in a statement on Thursday. The first 10 Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga fighters entered Kobani through the border crossing with Turkey on Thursday, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
