Israel to receive fourth Dolphin submarine from Germany within days

As the dust settles from the latest round of hostilities with Hamas in the South, and as tensions increase along the Syrian frontier atop the Golan Heights, Israel received a boost for its naval forces on Wednesday when it announced that it would add another Dolphin-class submarine to its fleet.
At a ceremony honoring cadets who completed training to become midshipmen, the commander of the Navy announced that Israel would soon receive its fourth Dolphin submarine, which is considered one of the most advanced vessels of its kind in the world.
"As we speak, [the submarine] has left port in Germany and is on its way to Israel," said Navy Commander Maj. Gen. Ram Rothberg. "This is the fourth such vessel to be added to bolster Israel's maritime defenses."
