Israel transfers 12,000 tons of Druse-grown apples to Syria

Israel finished transferring 12,000 tons of apples from Druse villages to Syria on Tuesday.
The operation took two months, with the help of the International Red Cross and in coordination with the UN.
The transfer takes place annually. Druse farmers from the Golan Heights send apples to be sold in Damascus markets, where they come in plain white packaging to hide their origin.
