Jerusalem hit-and-run suspect and brother arrested

A 21-year-old unlicensed driver who critically injured a six-year-old boy during a Friday night hit-and-run incident in Jerusalem was arrested on Sunday, along with his brother, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
While details of the incident remain unclear, police said another brother turned them in to the police. The unidentified driver fled the scene after ramming into the child at the Bar Ilan junction. A third unidentified passenger was also in the vehicle, but has not been arrested, police said.

The boy was treated by Magen David Adom paramedics for severe head and abdominal injuries before being transferred to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem. According to police, the vehicle was located parked nearby several hours after the incident.
