Jerusalem judge bans unruly Beitar fans from attending future matches

Nearly one week after unruly Beitar Jerusalem fans threw smoke bombs, flares and firecrackers onto the field during a soccer match in Belgium, the Jerusalem Police on Tuesday announced that those accused of participating in the riot have been banned from attending future matches.
According to police, a special hearing was held at Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Tuesday morning during which a judge issued an injunction barring fans involved in the melee from entering any sports stadium in the country until the end of the 2015/2016 season.
The ban also applies to training facilities and games at other venues, police said.
