Jerusalem Municipality to distribute 100 free Christmas trees

The Jerusalem Municipality’s Gardening Department will distribute 100 complimentary Christmas trees to the capital’s Christian residents, City Hall announced Thursday.
Distribution of the Christmas trees will take place on Monday at the Old City’s Jaffa Gate between 9 a.m. and noon upon presentation of a valid ID card with a residential address, the municipality said.
Additionally, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat will be hosting the municipality’s annual New Year’s ceremony for leaders and representatives of the capital’s religious communities on January 28 in the City Council at Safra Square at 7:30 p.m., the municipality said.
