Jewish deli vandalized in Copenhagen
A Jewish deli in Copenhagen was vandalized on Wednesday night – its walls spray-painted with anti-Semitic remarks, a window shattered to pieces.Police discovered the damage in the early hours of Thursday morning, local newspapers reported.The words "Jewish pig" could be seen on one of the supermarket@@@s walls as law enforcement searched the affluent Østerbro neighborhood for the perpetrators.The owner of the deli – which was guarded by an armed security officer during business hours, following a spate of terror attacks in the city – is an Israeli native who moved to Denmark 22 years ago, according to the Copenhagen-based paper, the Berlingske Tidende.The area has seen an uptick in police presence lately, following attacks in a cafe and a synagogue in the city back in February.Police also said they were combing through hours of security footage from the nearby streets.
