Jewish deli vandalized in Copenhagen

A Jewish deli in Copenhagen was vandalized on Wednesday night – its walls spray-painted with anti-Semitic remarks, a window shattered to pieces.
Police discovered the damage in the early hours of Thursday morning, local newspapers reported.
The words "Jewish pig" could be seen on one of the supermarket@@@s walls as law enforcement searched the affluent Østerbro neighborhood for the perpetrators.
The owner of the deli – which was guarded by an armed security officer during business hours, following a spate of terror attacks in the city – is an Israeli native who moved to Denmark 22 years ago, according to the Copenhagen-based paper, the Berlingske Tidende.
The area has seen an uptick in police presence lately, following attacks in a cafe and a synagogue in the city back in February.
Police also said they were combing through hours of security footage from the nearby streets. "All vandalism is serious, but when it comes to this particular location, there will be extra focus," said a police investigator involved in the investigation.
