Jordanian PM: Annexation of Jordan Valley by Israel violates peace treaty

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdallah Ensour warned on Thursday that Israel's annexation of the Jordan Valley wound constitute a violation of the peace treaty signed by Jerusalem and Amman in 1994.
In a meeting with Jordanian lawmakers on Thursday, Ensour said that the Hashemite Kingdom was growing concerned over Israeli plans for the Jordan Valley.
"Jordan will not sit idly by in light of these steps, and it will act diplomatically," the prime minister said.
"The American government has informed us that it is dissatisfied with the Israeli position," Ensour said.
"Jordan reiterates its position that all of the territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip are Palestinian lands under occupation, and they are part of the Palestinian state," said a Jordanian government spokesperson.
