Katsav given 18 day extension to file request for hearing

The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted former president Moshe Katsav an additional extension to file a request for a further discussion of his rape conviction, for which he is currently serving a seven year prison sentence.

Katsav's legal team was given until the end of the month to file the request.

The former president was already granted a 45 day extension to file the request and his attorneys had asked for an additional 60 days to prepare a petition for a hearing.
