French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Tuesday said he hopes upcoming talks with Iran about its disputed nuclear program are productive, though such discussions haven't helped much in the past.
Kouchner said he "is glad (the meeting) is happening, we always, always have asked for negotiation, but our experiences in this domain haven't been very good."
The "latest surprise" from Iran is that it managed to build another nuclear site while avoiding questions about the one the world knew about, Kouchner said.
The minister spoke Tuesday after talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem.
