Lapid goes to US to fight delegitimization of Israel

Yesh Atid chairman MK Yair Lapid set off for the US on Monday to hold several meetings as part of his self-declared role of shadow foreign minister which he has taken upon himself, in light of his heavy criticism of the current government’s policies.
Yesh Atid said Lapid would meet with senior officials in the Republican and Democratic parties over the next two days, in order to “harness” them to efforts to fight campaigns designed to delegitimize Israel.
He will meet with Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, and with senior officials from prominent US think tanks and leaders of pro-Israel organizations, as well as conduct several media interviews on the subject of the skewed focus of the UN Human Rights Council on Israel.
