Man, 50, hurt in work-related explosion near Ma'aleh Adumim

A 50-year-old worker was seriously injured near the Al-Zaem checkpoint on the way to Ma'aleh Adumim when he was soldering a tank of diesel fuel on Thursday afternoon. Emergency workers believe the diesel fuel inside exploded, leaving the man with third burns and an amputated leg.
He was evacuated by Magen David Adom to Ein Kerem hospital, where he is in critical condition.
