Palestinian police recovered a five-year-old girl Tuesday who was in a vehicle at the time of its theft from near the Eleazar settlement in Gush Etzion, Israeli media reported.
The girl, who was abandoned by the thief on the side of the road, was retrieved by Palestinian police near the El-Aroub village, also in Gush Etzion, who brought her to an IDF outpost stationed at the Gush intersection.

Initial investigations showed that the girl's father had pulled the car to the side of the road when he believed a personal item had fallen out the vehicle's window. A man who was standing nearby then entered the vehicle, stealing it while the girl was still sitting in the back seat.
