Megillat Esther that survived Shoah read at Yad Veshem

A 100-year-old megilla (scroll) was read at the Yad Veshem synagogue in Jerusalem Sunday, Israel Radio reported.
The megilla was found in the Korokov ghetto shortly before the ghetto's destruction by Polish citizen Kazimierz Kowalski, who kept the scroll in house for years.
Following a meeting with a Holocaust survivor, Kowalski became aware that the scroll was the Megillat Esther, and he donated it to Yad Veshem.
