Meretz leader blasts government in wake of West Bank terror attack

The Israeli government is "leaving the settlers to absorb" Palestinian violence while "selling the public [on the idea that] the situation has calmed down," Meretz chair Zehava Galon said on Friday.
Reacting to the grisly shooting attack which killed an Israeli man and his son near Hebron just hours earlier, the head of the left-wing movement said that she "refuse[s] to accept this bloody reality in which we have been living for quite some time now."
"We must take control of matters from those who aren't ready and are unable to offer us a different future," Galon said, referring to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
