Middle East media watchdog to open Jerusalem office

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) announced Tuesday it will open a central office this week in downtown Jerusalem’s Technology Park, home to several major international media outlets, as well the Government Press Office.
In a statement, CAMERA’s president and executive director, Andrea Levin, said the new office will significantly aid the organization in its mission to promote accurate coverage of Israel and the Middle East in the North American, European and Israeli media.
“The establishment of the Jerusalem office is the natural next step in the ongoing growth of CAMERA’s global efforts,” Levin said in the statement. “We look forward to hosting events and conferences for both the Hebrew and English-speaking public.”
To date, CAMERA has submitted numerous complaints to the Israel Press Council, resulting in corrections made by Israeli media outlets.
