Muslim man in France arrested for death threats to Jewish MP, Israeli consul

French police arrested a 19-year-old man of Muslim origin on Sunday after he made death threats to two leading Jewish figures, French media reported Sunday.
The teen sent emails to the Israeli consul in Marseilles, Barnea Hasid, and Jewish member of parliament Meir Habib, containing Islamic State videos. The videos depicted Islamic State decapitations and threatened them with a similar fate.
During the police's search of the man's home, no suspicious items were found, though his family said that he had recently started reading Islamic Jihad materials.
The young man's lawyer said that the incident was just that of a confused young man.
