Nazareth: Man gets 30 months in prison for stealing Iphone

The Nazareth District Court on Wednesday sentenced Mahmoud Basul, aged 28, to 30 months in prison for the theft of an Apple Iphone from a woman and obstructing a police officer from fulfilling his duty.

According to the indictment, Basul snatched the smart-phone from the lady waiting at a bus station in Nazareth Illit. Police were able to track the Iphone's location through the use of an application loaded on the device.

The Kfar Raina resident was also fined NIS 5,000 and was ordered to pay NIS 3,000 to the affected woman.
