Nearly 65,000 evacuated after China quake

BEIJING — State media say an earthquake  that jolted Yunnan province Tuesday in southwest China has forced the evacuation of 64,500 people, although there have been no reported injuries.
The official Xinhua News Agency said Wednesday that the 4.8-magnitude quake in Yingjiang county damaged homes in the rural area.
It said tents, clothing and food have been sent to the area.
