In comments with German Foreign Minister Heiko Mass on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and warned that if any country starts a war with Iran, Iran would “end it.”
Zarif spoke about US President Donald Trump and the US “deal of the century” in his press conference with Maas. Haranguing the press, while Maas looked down and seemed a bit uncomfortable, the Iranian appeared to seek to deter Israel and the US from any conflict by threatening to “end” any wars that were started with Iran. He has previously warned against threats to Iran.
Germany’s foreign minister is in Tehran to preserve the Iran deal. Zarif’s comments appeared to seek to use the visit in order to threaten and boast about Iran’s power and also to highlight Israel. He mentioned Dimona and Netanyahu, seeking to highlight Israel’s threats to Iran.
This is a developing story.
