Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has decided to move to reject a bill that would appoint deputies to all mayors in the country, the Prime Minister's Office announced Thursday. The prime minister's secretary told Interior Minister Eli Yishai about Netanyahu's opposition to the bill, and instructed the head of the coalition to act accordingly. Yishai also withdrew his support for the bill and instructed his people to change the wording of the bill to its original form, so that it calls to add two deputy mayors to the Jerusalem Municipality alone.
