Palestinian teen arrested in Jerusalem for carrying concealed knife

An unidentified Palestinian male teenager was arrested Tuesday morning for carrying a concealed knife, after concerned bystanders observed him treading suspiciously on the light rail tracks, across the street from Jerusalem’s central bus station.
Police received a call from a passerby shortly after 10 a.m. stating that the suspect behaved strangely while wandering aimlessly on the tracks, police said. Within minutes, officers patrolling the area searched the teen, finding a knife in one of his pockets. After being questioned, he was placed under arrest.
No one was wounded during the incident, which took place less than 24 hours after two Palestinians teenage girls stabbed a 70-year-old Palestinian man they mistook as Jewish, roughly one kilometer away, at the Mahane Yehuda market.
