Paris police station attacker may have come to Europe as asylum seeker

Police released the identity of the man who tried to attack a police station in Paris on Thursday as a Tunisian national named Tarek Begacem.
In the report by French news agency AFP late on Saturday, Begacem was last registered as living in an asylum center for migrants in the western German city of Recklinghausen.
Police did not specifically say that Begacem was a migrant, but close source said he indeed was registered as such.
On Thursday, the man was shot dead as he attempted to carry out an attack at a northern-Paris police station, yelling "Allahu akbar" and wielding a meat cleaver and fake explosive vest.
