"There is no other solution if we want peace but to enable the Palestinians to have a demilitarized state of their own," President Shimon Peres said Sunday in a meeting with a delegation of Senators and Congressmen from the US.He stressed the importance of the two-state solution by saying the alternative is "a binational country which means an ongoing quarrel, ongoing hatred and an ongoing conflict," something the president said was bad for both sides.
