Police disperse Arab rioters at Damascus Gate with water cannons

Police used water cannons Saturday night to disperse more than 100 Arab rioters demonstrating at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate against recent legislation to resettle Beduin populations into government-sanctioned villages in the southern Negev, police said.
A police spokesperson said the demonstrators began throwing rocks at officers at 6 p.m., forcing them to implement the riot-control measures.
No injuries or arrests were reported, the official said.
