Police: IDF soldier helped supply weapons used in Tiv Ta'am bombing

Tel Aviv police have arrested a career IDF soldier suspected of supplying weapons to the main suspects accused of carrying out the attempted bombing of a supermarket in the city in March.
The soldier, who is in his twenties, was arrested on Tuesday along with another suspect in a joint operation carried out between the YAMAR investigative unit of the police and the special investigations branch of the IDF military police. He is accused of supplying the materials used by the cell to construct the bombs used in the attempted explosion.
The soldier will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning, where officers will seek an extension of his remand.
The Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office in late July filed an indictment against three men who arrested earlier in the month for carrying out repeated attempts to bomb the supermarket.
