Report: Abbas's son coordinates meeting between PM and PA president in NY

Mahmoud Abbas's son is coordinating a meeting between the Palestinian Authority president and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Israel Radio reported Monday, citing a report by a Saudi newspaper. The Saudi daily Oqaz reported that Yasser Abbas has been holding secret contact with Israeli officials to coordinate the September meeting. Last week, Yasser Abbas accompanied his father on a formal visit to Jordan. Army Radio, however, reported that Palestinian sources said a meeting between the leaders was not being planned, despite American pressure.
