Report: Iran 'loyally backs' Palestinian Islamic Jihad

Senior Islamic Jihad official Khader Habeeb said Iran has been a "loyal backer" of the Palestinian resistance since its Islamic revolution, Middle Eastern news agency Al-Monitor reported Monday.

Habeeb told Al-Monitor: “Iran has adopted the Palestinian resistance since its Islamic revolution. It has been a loyal backer."

Commenting on the Syria crisis, Al-Monitor quoted Habeed as saying: "We are sorry for both Palestinians and Syrians being killed every day in Syria, but we are already aware of the fact we are mere guests in Syria and have no right to interfere.”
