Report: UN offers to help settle Lebanon-Israel border row

The UN said it was willing to help solve the crisis that erupted between Lebanon and Israel concerning Israel's demarcation of the maritime border between the two countries, Army Radio cited a Lebanese newspaper as reporting Friday.
Beirut claims that Israel illegally demarcated the sea border, denying Lebanon access to natural gas and oil that belongs to the country.
On Wednesday, Lebanon announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Iran for developing its gas and energy fields. The deal, Hezbollah affiliated news channel Al-Manar said, was worth $50 million.
