Secretary-General Bar warns Herzog of becoming 'Netanyahu copy'

Labor party Secretary-General MK Hilik Bar on Tuesday lashed out at his party leader Isaac Herzog saying, "If he is going to be a pathetic copy of Netanyahu [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu], the people will run from him."

In a recording reported by Channel 2, Bar can be heard verbally attacking Herzog: "When will he understand that he is the leader of a great party, only once Lapid destroys him?"

Bar was responding to a meeting between Herzog and French President François Hollande in which Herzog said that the notion of a two-state solution is not relevant. Bar said of Herzog's statement: "What right does he have to make these statements? Is he a private citizen? A university lecturer?"
