US Senator Joe Lieberman praised Jordan on the occasion of King Abdullah's 10th year atop the throne and the country's 60th year of relations with America at a reception to mark the occasion Thursday. The Independent Connecticut lawmaker, standing beside Republicans and Democrats, said that "one place partisanship truly ends" in Washington "is in our relationship with Jordan." He referred to admiration and warm relations based on "timeless values and very compelling interests." US Representative Adam Schiff (D-California), also at the event, called Jordan "an extraordinarily important ally."
