Settler leader: State always backs Peace Now

The state consistently backs Peace Now in its petitions before the High Court of Justice against construction in Judea and Samaria, complained settler leader Dani Dayan in a letter he wrote Saturday to the factions of the right-wing parties. In each instance the state has failed to acknowledge that what Peace Now has called illegal construction, is actually construction is in the midst of the permitting process, said Dayan who heads the Council of Jewish Communities of Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip. He noted that this is particularly true with respect to the Hayovel outpost, which he believes is a neighborhood of the Elazar settlement. Both those outposts he said are situated on state land in spite of Peace Now claims that they are on Palestinian property, he said.
