Steinitz welcomes Cisco $5b. acquisition of NDS

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said Thursday he viewed Cisco Systems' acquisition of Israeli-founded multi-channel television software developer NDS as another statement of confidence in the future of Israeli hi-tech, following recent investments by multinationals Apple, Intel, Citibank, Barclays and Lenov.

Steinitz noted the Foreign Ministry's pledge that 2012 would be "the year of national efforts to encourage foreign investment in Israel," according to a press release from the finance minister.
