Suicide attack kills two

Police said on Saturday that at least two people were killed in a suicide attack at a police station in northwest Pakistan. Police official Mohammed Farid said that another 40 people were injured when the attacker drove his explosive-laden car into a police station in the northwestern district of Bannu. He said that most of the injured were policemen. No one claimed responsibility but previous attacks have been blamed on militants operating from tribal regions bordering Afghanistan. The latest attack came a day after a spokesman for the top Pakistani militant leader Hakimullah Mehsud warned of suicide attacks if the government acted against them.
