The much-anticipated Boeing 747-based US "Super Tanker" was set to make its first water-dropping flight over the Carmel fire at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.The aircraft arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport in the pre-dawn hours Sunday morning. Unlike other water-dropping planes sent by various countries, the Super Tanker is able to operate at night and can drop 16 times more water in a single run than other planes.
