Technion President Professor Peretz Lavie announced on Sunday the establishment of a new admissions track which would allow prospective Technion students to bypass the psychometric exam for acceptance. The new admission process would be based on exams in mathematics and physics administered by the Technion, which candidates will take before the start of the school year as a substitute to the psychometric exam scores required for acceptance.Lavie said he sees the initiative as a “historical turning point” and promised that students will continue to be at the center of the Technion’s concerns.
