Tel Aviv District Court to announce Olmert sentence on May 13

The Tel Aviv District Court will be handing down the sentence for former prime minister Ehud Olmert for his bribery conviction in the Holyland real estate affair on May 13, it was announced on Tuesday.
Olmert's sentencing hearing took place on Monday and Tuesday. During arguments, the State Attorney's Office asked that Olmert be given a minimum of six years, while Olmert's lawyers said he should not serve any time in jail, adding that, in the most extreme case, the judge could not reasonably give a sentence of more than 18 months.
Olmert's former bureau chief, Shula Zaken, will appear for her sentencing hearing on May 14.
