Trump extends condolences to families of Las Vegas victims in national address

US President Donald Trump lamented the tragic loss of lives in his national address Monday following America's deadliest shooting that took place Monday night in Las Vegas and claimed the lives of at least 50 people, injuring an additional 400.
The US president extended his condolences to the families of the victims and those injured, alluding to a passage from Psalms 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”.
Trump ordered that the American flag be lowered to half-staff and said he will visit first response teams and the families of the victims on Wednesday along with his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
