Turkey's Health Ministry on Saturday reported the first swine flu death in the country.
The ministry said the 29-year-old patient, treated for pneumonia and who tested positive for swine flu, died after developing sudden respiratory problems Saturday.
The ministry did not immediately say if the victim was a man or a woman.
The number of people being treated for swine flu in Turkey is about 960.
