Twenty-five suspects were arrested in drug bust.

Twenty-five suspects were arrested in the capital Tuesday morning following a four-month weapons trafficking and drug dealing investigation carried out by an undercover detective. While details of the arrests remain largely unknown due to an ongoing investigation, according to police, a 35-year-old detective working in coordination with Border Police infiltrated the illegal drug and weapons rings in east and west Jerusalem.
The arrests were made after the detective made deals to purchase several M-16 machine guns, hand guns, ammunition, and unknown quantities of cocaine, hashish and MDMA. The suspects were arraigned at Jerusalem Magistrate’s court after being apprehended, where a judge remanded them for at least one week, police said.
