Two charged with terrorism over Belarus bombing

MINSK - Two Belarussians have been formally charged with terrorism over the April 11 bomb attack at a metro station in the capital Minsk in which 14 people were killed, the state-run BelTA news agency said on Friday.
The charge carries a penalty from 8 years imprisonment to execution.
BelTA quoted deputy general prosecutor Andrei Shved as saying the two "carried out a terrorist act which killed people and caused damage on an especially broad scale."
Until now the two had been held only on suspicion of taking part in the bombing in which more than 200 people were wounded.
