SYDNEY - A shallow quake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 was recorded off British Columbia on Canada's west coast, the US Geological Survey said on Tuesday.
The quake, at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles), was centred about 260 km (160 miles) southwest of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, the USGS said.
A magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit Canada's Pacific coast last Saturday night, causing a tsunami in Hawaii.
