Vandals have attacked a Jewish cemetery in the western Greek town of Ioannina, damaging at least six graves, some of them beyond repair, local authorities said Thursday.
The vandals reportedly scaled the walls the cemetery, toppling and shattering gravestones, as well as the cemetery's main memorial.
Then the attackers reportedly proceeded to cover the toppled gravestones with blood they had taken from a turtle.
Jewish community leaders, who care for the upkeep of the cemetery were quoted as saying that there had been two previous attacks against the cemetery in January and March.
