Woman run over, killed on Route 5 near Kesem Junction

A woman was run over by a car and killed on Monday after getting out of another car on Route 5 near the Kesem Junction.

Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) and ZAKA rescue and recovery organization tried to revive the woman who had been mortally wounded. After failing to revive the woman, the MDA doctor on the scene pronounced the woman dead.

Israel Godlobski, Commander of of ZAKA Sharon said, “The accident was very severe. When I arrived at the scene, the woman was lying outstretched on the road in critical condition with no pulse and was not breathing.”

Godlobski said that it appeared that the woman was struck when she got out of another car after a fight with a fellow passenger. ZAKA volunteers were attending to the body and the accident scene.
