Wounded Syrian dies in Israeli hospital

One of two Syrians who was evacuated for medical help in Israel has died, a hospital in Nahariya confirmed to Israel Radio on Wednesday afternoon. The two were part of a group of seven wounded men who approached the Golan border fence earlier in the day.

The man was hospitalized in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head. The other wounded man was also in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon. The two were to be returned to Syria following treatment, the IDF Spokesman’s Office said.
