Young man with chronic illnesses gets serious H1N1 flu complications

A 22-year-old man who suffers from several chronic diseases and contracted the H1N1 flu was hospitalized Wednesday at Hadassah University Medical Center on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem with serious complications. He was attached to a respirator in the intensive care unit. It was the second case of swine flu complications in less than a week, but the first one, a young Swedish tourist, did not suffer from other illnesses and is improving. Nearly 900 Israelis have come down with the new flu virus; all but these two cases were mild.
